Recycled Glass Dishes and Bowls

We spotted these very unique and beautiful dishes in a 2008 copy of UTNE Reader Magazine, and wanted to pass the discovery on to our readers. All of these glass products are hand-spun from 100% post-consumer glass, which means you’ll have a fun “green” story to tell the next time you’re hosting a dinner party.

The bluish tint of these recycled glass bowls gives them a vintage look, almost like the old buoys floating off the coast of Seattle… perfect for warm clam chowder! Since each piece is hand spun, they are one-of-a-kind. You have the option of two bowl types, three rectangular plates and a pitcher, for a complete artsy dish collection that would look great as serving platters for sushi, salad or anything in between. Now you can stop buying paper (or worse, Styrofoam!) plates — visit Natural Home Magazine for these dishes and other recycled products. Each plate is made from 100% recycled glass otherwise destined for landfills.
